Clairol Color Blend Foam Review

Photobucket

I have been coloring my hair at home for around 8 years now. Usually when I find a product I stick to it, I like to change colors but not types of hair color. After seeing all the commercials and listening to all the hype, I decided to give it a try (only because I had a coupon for it). I read the directions and followed them step by step. I added the 2 mixes together and shook the bottle until it was mixed completely! I added the foam lid and began to squeeze just as it told me. What a mess!! They claim that it is "a no drip formula" but I completely disagree. It was like pure water coming out. I shook it some more (it also claims 3 shakes and go)thinking maybe I didn't shake it enough. This time it was a little more foam like but still very messy. Finally, about half way through the bottle it became the foam that I was expecting. I also noticed that the 2 mixes began to separate. I have shoulder length hair and I am glad that it isn't any longer because I am afraid I would not have had enough foam to cover all the hair. Once time was up and I washed my hair, it seemed more dry and rough than it usually does after I color my hair.

Overall, I give Clairol Color Blend Foam 2 thumbs down! I think the company could improve the consistency of the foam so that it isn't so runny and ensure that the two mixes do not settle out. I will say that I like the color that I got but it was not worth the mess. I will just stick to old faithful.
